Black Photographers You Need to Follow NOW! | cavaphotography

Welcome back to the blog guys... so I debated whether to do a post or not this week as I think the internet needs to be overpowered with information and posts regarding the #blacklivesmatter movement. What happened to George Floyd, and countless others, is horrific and the world needs to change - me posting my pictures on Instagram or writing any other blog post would be overlooking the current state of injustice within the world. I decided I wanted to write a post that would be beneficial at this time, as a photographer I want to help black photographers and get them some recognition, therefore I have compiled a list of 10 black photographers whose work I admire and urge you to follow and support! I am not going to put any information about the photographers, just their name and socials because I ask that you check them out and find out more yourselves. (I haven't put any images on this post due to the photographers copyright)

Links to petitions and funds will be linked at the bottom of this post. I have grown up with white privilege - this is something I am learning about and trying to educate myself on but I understand that I will never fully understand and I stand with you all.

Check out my Instagram @cavaphotography where I have been posting a lot about the movement on my stories.

I will be back next Sunday at 11 am BST with a brand new post! Have a good week guys!

Lots of love, Chlo x
